Our goal in AWANA is to help our clubbers realize that God loves them and that, through His Son, Jesus Christ, He provided salvation and the ability for them to have a relationship with Him. AWANA teaches the clubbers that their greatest resource is the Bible and that by obedience to God’s Word, they will be able to live meaningful and rewarding lives. Bible memorization, games, awards and rewards, motivational challenges and Bible messages, parental involvement, as well as other special activities are tools we use in AWANA to assist and encourage clubbers in their spiritual growth and handbook achievements. AWANA also helps clubbers to learn discipline, good sportsmanship and how to build good relationship with others through work, play and Bible study within their own peer groups.

Our year begins in September on the first Wednesday after Labor Day and ends on the Wednesday prior to Memorial Day in May with holiday breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Easter.

With the exception of our Cubbies program, which ministers only to 3 and 4 year old children who are "potty-trained" and have relatives attending Parkside or siblings attending our K-6th grade clubs, Parkside Chapel AWANA Clubs are open to ALL children!
