what to expect

It can be intimidating coming to a church for the first time! Let’s answer some of your frequent questions

“Will I know anyone?” Visalia is a small town… you may see someone you know! But if you don’t… our community is full of friendly people.

“Will they single out visitors?” Be assured, we don’t single out visitors! Our goal is to make sure everyone is greeted and welcomed, you will not be ignored and we can’t wait to introduce ourselves and know your name.

“What do I wear?” We’re a pretty casual church! You’ll see a mix of people wearing dresses, slacks, jeans and yes, shorts in the hot summer.

“Will I be able to find parking?” Parking is easy at Parkside! Spaces are readily available and overflow parking is in the field right next to the property.

We hope answering these questions helps you feel a little more at ease about visiting.

1) Expect to Hear About Jesus

Our purpose at Parkside is to be intentional about sharing the love of Jesus. Everything we do is designed to help you be transformed in your relationship with Him. We hope you will leave Parkside feeling encouraged and strengthened in your faith and with a better understanding of just how much God loves you!

2) Expect to Feel Welcome

From the moment you drive onto the campus and into our parking lot, we hope you feel welcomed. We’re pretty casual, so follow the crowd to the Worship Center, and enjoy being together to worship Jesus! It’s a total family experience – from the youngest to the oldest!

3) Expect Your Kids to be Loved and Cared For!

Children’s Ministry is available at 10:00 AM

  • Nursery:  Ages 0 – 2 years

  • Pre-school:  Ages 3 – 5

  • Sunday School:  K-2nd & 3rd-6th Grade

Sunday Mornings at Parkside offer fun and safe opportunities for children ages newborn to 6th grade. We provide Nursery and Preschool for the younger kids, and we have separate classes for children ages K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grades.

We believe modeling worship to our kids is important so children ages K-6th grade participate in worship during service before being dismissed from the worship center and escorted by their teachers to the KidsZone.

Parkside uses a curriculum to teach the Bible lesson creatively through storytelling, music, and other various teaching methods. We want our children to keep coming back to learn more about the awesome God of the universe and the Savior who loves them.
